Pragmatic Visionary Recognized for His Role in Shaping Data Security at 2008 SC Awards Europe

LONDON, Apr 24, 2008 – Imperva, the leader in application data security, today announced that its president and CEO Shlomo Kramer has been named CEO of the Year for 2008 by SC Magazine. Mr. Kramer was selected by a panel of industry experts for his innovation and vision in shaping application data security as well as the operational excellence Imperva has demonstrated to become the leader in its market. He was honored with this prestigious security industry award at the annual SC Magazine Awards Europe event in London on Tuesday. About Shlomo Kramer

Mr. Kramer has played a key role in creating several category-defining security products. He is credited with commercializing the first network firewall product as co-founder of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. In 2002, he founded Imperva to address the next big challenge he saw for organizations – application and data security. Today, Imperva’s web application firewall and database monitoring/security solutions are used by more than 2,500 organizations in 35 countries on 6 continents.

Mr. Kramer has participated as an early investor and board member in a number of security and enterprise software companies including Palo Alto Networks, WorkLight, and Trusteer. Mr. Kramer received a Masters degree in Computer Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
