Leading Provider of Data Security Appliances Fills Key Management Role with Industry Veteran

FOSTER CITY, Calif., Feb. 13, 2006 – Imperva™, the leader in data security for the data center, today announced the appointment of Andy Leventhal as vice president of business development. Leventhal brings 20 years of technology industry experience in business development and sales to Imperva.  He has successfully led and managed business development activities for emerging and leading IT vendors including VA Software, Sana Security, VeriSign, RSA Security, and EMC Corporation.

Leventhal assumes responsibility for managing business development as well as building and expanding business relationships with key software, hardware, and services vendors, and system integrators.  He will drive key partner initiatives in the areas of technology integration, product bundling, and joint marketing-selling programs.

Andy Leventhal joins Imperva from VA Software, developers of SourceForge the industry’s leading collaborative software development platform, where he was responsible for strategic alliances and channel development. Prior to VA Software, Leventhal developed and managed over 30 OEM and VAR relationships for Sana Security.  As Director of Strategic Alliances for Red Hat, he managed global relationships with Intel, HP, Compaq, Oracle, and Netscape. Leventhal has also held business development positions with VeriSign, RSA Security, and EMC Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island, and an international marketing degree from Richmond College in London, England.
