Jason Huey as Vice President of Sales, West
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., February 4, 2015 – Imperva Inc. (NYSE: IMPV), committed to protecting business-critical data and applications on-premises and in the cloud, today announced the addition of two new sales leaders in North America. Gary Pfeiffer has joined the company as Vice President of Sales, East, and Jason Huey has joined as Vice President of Sales, West. Both executives have years of experience selling enterprise security solutions and leading high-performance sales teams, having each run businesses that delivered in excess of $175 million in annual revenue. In their new roles at Imperva, they will be responsible for driving revenue and sales of the Imperva SecureSphere®, Imperva Incapsula(TM), and Imperva Skyfence(TM) product lines in their respective regions of the U.S. Both sales leaders will report to Imperva Chief Revenue Officer, Mike Mooney.
Gary Pfeiffer joins Imperva from CA Technologies in New York, where he was Vice President, North America Sales – Security from July 2010 until his appointment at Imperva. There, he was responsible for leading sales, pre-sales and services for CA Technologies’ Identity Management suite, the largest revenue contributor to the company’s Security business unit. Prior to CA Technologies, Gary spent two-and-a-half years as Vice President of Worldwide Sales for VideoIQ, a producer of intelligent video surveillance systems (acquired by Avigilon Corporation in 2013). Other roles have included Vice President of Sales, Service and Support for Tizor Systems (acquired by Netezza in 2009); Vice President and General Manager for the Novell Identity Management products in the Americas; Area Vice President, East and Federal Sales for RSA Security; and Regional Vice President, Northeast Sales for Internet Security Systems. Early in his career, Gary held a variety of sales positions with leading telecommunications service providers, including MCI, Sprint and Network Access Solutions.
Jason Huey was also at CA Technologies prior to joining the Imperva team. As Senior Director of Sales starting in June 2011 until his departure, he was responsible for leading sales teams working with some of the company’s largest named accounts. Before CA Technologies, Jason was Director of Sales for application security vendor Veracode, and prior to that, Region Sales Director with data security provider Application Security, Inc. (acquired by Trustware in November 2013). For both companies, Jason led the sales organizations serving the Western U.S. Earlier in his career, Jason was Vice President of Sales for DataSynapse; Regional Sales Director and Named Account Manager for Quest Software (acquired by Dell in 2012); and Senior Account Executive for Bendata, now Front Range Software. Jason was a Sergeant E-5 with the United States Marine Corps for four years, from June 1989-June 1993, serving in both the Far East and California.
“With a diverse portfolio of products for discovery, protection and compliance, we need sales leaders who know how to apply the right security solutions to a customer’s unique environment and unique security challenges, and Gary and Jason are experts at this,” said Mike Mooney, Chief Revenue Officer for Imperva. “I’m delighted to have them on our team to help us realize the full potential of our opportunity in North America, and – better yet – to help us ensure that more enterprises can benefit from the protection Imperva can provide to high-value applications and data assets.”
