SecureSphere Meets Rigorous SAP Interoperability Requirements; Helps Protect SAP Applications Delivered over the Web and Via Service-oriented Architectures
Redwood Shores, CA, May 21, 2008 – Imperva®, the leader in application data security, today announced that SecureSphere v6.0 has achieved SAP® Certified Integration status for its interoperability with the SAP NetWeaver® Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS) Release 7.0 component. The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that SecureSphere v6.0 meets certification criteria under the category of Network Security for enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA)-based solutions. Imperva SecureSphere Web Application Firewalls help provide seamless protection for Web-facing SAP applications. Imperva also announced today that it has joined the Global Security Alliance formed by SAP (see today’s related news release).
SecureSphere was certified for integration with SAP NetWeaver AS Release 7.0. It provides protection for SAP web-based applications and web services delivered using the SAP NetWeaver AS by preventing attackers from exploiting application level vulnerabilities. The open nature of web applications and SOA can create application and data security challenges. Imperva’s research arm, the Imperva ADC (http://www.imperva.com/resources/adc/adc.html), has published technical white papers and security advisories on this subject.
