Leading Provider of Application and Database Security Appliances Expands Management Team

FOSTER CITY, Calif., Apr. 18, 2007 – Imperva®, the global leader in data security and compliance solutions for the data center, today announced the appointment of Rohit Gupta as vice president of business development. Gupta brings more than 10 years of experience in business development and sales to Imperva. He has managed strategic alliances as well as channel and OEM relationships on a worldwide basis for emerging and established technology vendors including Borland, Palamida, and Segue Software.

Rohit Gupta joins Imperva from Palamida, a developer of software intellectual property management products. As vice president of business development, Gupta was instrumental in establishing partnerships with leading independent software vendors and systems integrators. Before Palamida, Gupta was vice president of alliances at Borland Software, the world’s leading provider of Open Application Lifecycle Management solutions, were he established and managed worldwide partnerships with ISVs and offshore systems integrators. Prior to Borland, he was vice president of worldwide channels at Segue Software (now Borland), a software testing tools vendor. Gupta is also a successful entrepreneur. He co-founded TeamScape Corporation, a developer of learning management software, which was acquired by PeopleSoft in 2002. Gupta started his career at Oracle Corporation. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
