Incapsula Pentested: Comes out as a Clear Winner
Philip Tibom, a whitehat hacker from Sweden, spent some time pentesting Incapsula and Cloudflare and documented his findings in a first of its kind 22 page-long report, which chronicles in detail his experiences with both platforms over the last 6 months.
During this time he tested both products’ Web Applicatoin Firewall (WAF) by performing 42 different security tests, including SQL injections and Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attempts.
In the end, Philips conclusion was: ‘Incapsula is the clear winner when it comes to security. For anyone who values security Incapsula is a great choice.’
This story was initially picked-up by EHackingNews.com, where it caught the attention of several security experts including Whitehat Security Founder and CTO, Jermiah Grossman who tweeted: ‘FINALLY an in-depth analysis of 2 WAF-in-the-Cloud vendors’.
A week later it was covered again by Sucuri COO/CFO, Tony Perez who reviews Philip’s paper in his personal blog and concluded: ‘I would say that Incapsula is the ideal solution from a preventive measure.’
